Certified Physician Assistants (PA-C) are medical providers formally trained in primary care; they graduate from one of many accredited academic model training programs affiliated with medical schools in the United States. Linda M. Dodick graduated from The Wagner College Staten Island University Hospital P.A. program. She has also obtained her Master's degree in P.A. studies in dermatology.
P.A.s have been working interdependently with dermatologists for over twenty years, providing a variety of services including diagnosis, treatment, surgical management of benign and malignant lesions, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and educating and counseling patients.
Mrs. Dodick has built her specialty expertise by working closely with a Board-certified dermatologist, attending conferences in dermatology sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology, and maintaining 100 hours of continuing medical education (CME) every two years. She must also pass a national recertification examination every six years.
Mrs. Dodick will be working collaboratively with the physicians in this office. As a patient, you will continue to receive high quality care from our team of professionals. Adding a P.A. to the practice will enable us to provide you with greater accessibility and prompt care. If at any time you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
